DSA has three wrestlers that have qualified to wrestle in the Individual State Tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum. First round of competition is on Thursday. A BIG Shout Out to Isaac Little, Josh Sawyer, and Michael Eubanks!
The NCHSAA 1A/2A Women’s Swimming State Championship was held this past Saturday in Cary. The team, captained by Marie Boudreau, finished 23rd overall out of 100 1A/2A teams. The 200 Medley Relay of Emily Burke, Sarah Van Wagener, Misha Neal, and Marie Boudreau finished 21st. Misha Neal finished 7th in the 100 freestyle. The 200 Free Relay of Marie Boudreau, Hannah Yueh, Emily Burke, and Misha Neal finished 11th. And the 400 Free Relay of Misha Neal, Alexandra Schneider, Emily Burke and Marie Boudreau finished 15th.
The NCHSAA 1A/2A Men’s Swimming State Championship was held this past Saturday in Cary. The team, captained by Matthew Jacobs, finished 14th overall out of 100 1A/2A teams. The 200 Medley Relay of Alex Strader, Matthew Jacobs, Camil Craciunescu, and Jack Mountain finished 13th. Matthew Jacobs finished 7th in the 200 IM. He also finished as the 1A/2A State Champion in the 100 breaststroke setting a new meet record at 1:00.37.

The NCHSAA 1A/2A Diving State Championship was held this past Friday in Raleigh. Senior Alex Buck placed second overall with a score of 297.20. Please congratulate him on his outstanding performance!
Please give a big BULLDOG SHOUTOUT to the Varsity Boys Basketball team for the 66-56 victory over Voyager Academy on Tuesday. The Bulldogs improve their cocnference record to 6-2. The Bulldogs played with intense energy and continued on their road of success! Last night’s offensive players of the game were TAMIQUE CAMERON, DOMINIQUE MOODY, MARKEZ MELVIN & TERRANCE REDDICK. Defensive players of the game were THE ENTIRE DSA BULLDOG TEAM. A special thanks to the DSA CHEERLEADERS for continued support and excellent cheering for our DSA Bulldog program. JOB WELL DONE LADIES!!

There will be an interest meeting for girls and boys interested in track and field on Thursday Jan. 24th in room 010 (the high school Health room in the basement of the gym). The meeting will last about 20 – 30 minutes. Have your rides pick you up at 4:30

Varsity Wrestling wins 49-21 against NCSSM. The team is 5-0 in conference and 14-4 overall.Remember to come out and support the Bulldogs next Wednesday for a home match as they wrestle Carborro for the conference title!
